GOP Assembly, April 2014
(This was presented by our President, Dulany Woodward, at the April 2014 State GOP Assembly)
Good afternoon. I just returned from the 76th Annual National Federation of Republican Women's Board Meeting in Washington where I learned that during the last election cycle, the women of our Federation logged 3 million volunteer hours. If you apply even $10/per hour that is $30,000,000 in campaign contributions through the dedication of over 80,000 women across this country. The Colorado Federation was part of that effort and with 43 clubs in all parts of the state we have influence and power to work for the good of our party and our candidates.
I polled a number of our clubs and have found that amoung our membership, there are approximately 400 delegates or alternates to this meeting. In our counties there are 163 Precinct Chairman or District Captains, another 82 on their Central Committees, 20 candidates in active races and 46 holding elected offices. This does not include the dozens who participated in their county assemblies or the senate, house or congressional meetings held before today.
The women of the Colorado Federation are volunteers who put their hours and talent and unswerving commitment to work-- for the good of this state and nation.
We are tasked with educating women regarding our political system, giving them access to our elected officials, helping and supporting them as they run for office, working within our communities to help our neighbors, mentoring younger women, and preparing an informed and invigorated electorate.
Please come join us during this vital year. We need you and you need the support we can give. There is a seat at our table for all registered Republican women. Thank you.

President's Message for Call
A new year, new beginnings, new opportunities to show our strength and determination to preserve our liberties and stand porter at the door against those who would try to wrest them from us.
There is so much to do, at all levels, but first, our organization must be strong so as to provide a firm foundation for the work ahead. I am encouraged that we have that strength to support and nurture each other for the battles to come.
And that is truly what we are facing this year, great battles for our safety, privacy, and self-determination. Battles for the minds of our children. Battles for the integrity of our ballots. Battles for the Rights afforded us in our National and State Constitutions. Battles for the security of our borders. Battles for our national moral standards. Battles for fiscal responsibility. And more foes seen and yet unseen that we may meet in the months ahead.
And what do battles require? Knowledge of those who oppose us, plans of action, finances, courage of endeavor, and leadership. CFRW is committed to educating and training our club, district and state leaders. That is one of the main purposes of our Spring Board Meeting. To educate, provide a forum for discussion, learn of the plans for the coming year, and include all in this quest we undertake to keep our nation free. Each meeting you have, every speaker, political education, workshop, candidate forum, campaign, or community service you perform builds strength upon strength.
Come to the Board Meeting to learn from each other, meet our candidates, network, learn the dos and don'ts of legal requirements, have your questions answered, share experiences, get to know your state officers, and strengthen your resolve. Oh, and have some fun too.
Look forward to seeing you all in Colorado Springs.
